Tianjin Research Institute of Silicate (TRIS) was founded in 1958, involved in research and development of glass, ceramic, refractory materials, fibre, artificial crystal, heating elements, solid-state physics, special mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as special instruments.
TRIS is staffed with 82 persons, among them are 18 senior engineers, 26 engineers and 31 junior professionals.
Being one of institutes special for the research of inorganic and nonmetalic materials. TRIS is well equipped with equipment and instruments necessary for the research and production tasks. The six subordinate research departments focus respectively on the development of special glass, glass packing (orsealing), DMF – made (called EFG method in the U.S.A.) artificial crysfal, technical ceramic, heating elements and synthetic materials.
Over three decaded of development, TRIS has passesed strog technical power for glass, ceramic, artificial crystal, special fibre and heating elements research tasks. Its research achievements and products have been put into application in the sectors of millitary defence, electronic, optical,chemical, petroleum semiconductor and light industries, and medical science as well. Among nearly 200 research projects undertaken by TRIS, twenty ones won the awards above the ministry and municiple levels, including the state awards, invention award and international exhihit diploma. In addition to this, TRIS has been granted and is applying for above ten of the patents.
The brief introduction of the products:
1、Quartz fibre:
Quartz fibre is a special material noted for high temperature resistance high Strenth, good insulation and light weight. Better than general fibre. Widly used in areas of space and aviation optics.
2、Far – infrared ray ceramic power:
Far – infrared ray ceramic power is a new product. Pioneer in China with and application for invention patent Centrally transmitting far – infrared ray of 6~14 μm which absorbed well by human bodies and many other substances. Widly used with functions of medical treatment, health care, fresh keeping, prowth promoting, enery saving and eliminating peculiar smell.
3、GRA – 1 mode aqueous lubricant of glass:
GRA – 1 mode aqueous lubricant of glass mold is a new lubricant which is indispensable for making glass containers. Applicated to lubricant shaping molds for glass making. Useful in the rubber and plastic industries as well as the metal of Zinc, aluminum and alloys foundry.
4、Anti – ultraviolet inorganic power:
Anti – ultraviolet inorganic power is synthesized and treated in 1200~1500℃ temperature range, which cutting off ultraviolet ray within 200~400 μm. It is measured that when the wavelength is 268.9 μm, the absorbance is about 1.02, I, e, the absoptiveting is about 90.5%. The powder has an effect as a shield to long-wavelength ultraviolet ray. Applied to cosmetics and artides for daily use preventing sunshine, as well as protecting body from damage of ultravidet ray and make body pleasantly cool.
5、Single crystal:
Single crystal is the bassical Single Crystal form of the pure aluminium Oxide with properties of high hardness and strengh good high temperature resistunce and heat conduction excellent transparency and chemical stability which is widly used in technic experiments and industrial produstrial productions.
Shape meterial: Crystal rod pipe sheet fibre of various size and material peculiar with sections.
6、Rapidly raising high temperature furnace:
Rapidly raising high temperature furnaceis a new kind developed by TRIS with properties of raising temperature rapidly, saving energy, high accuracy of control, good temperature uniformity, low temperature of envioment, small volume and easy operation, which is regarded as a substitute for regula MoSi2 furnace.
Reaching 1600℃ from ambient temperature only for 15 - 30 minutes. Compared with regula furnace, 90% electric power is saved in process of raising temperature, 30 - 50% in process of keeping temperature. Indexes meet the international technical standard.
7、The MoSi2 heating rod:
Resistance of high-temperature and oxidizing. A quartz glass film forms on surface preventing the elements from oxidizing at high temperature.
Never ageing, i.e. the resistance never change with the working age.
Good resistance of corrosion and chemical reliability. Ideal resistance of urgent variation of temperature. |
